  : To be honest, nothing. Ah, the location is good.
  : First of all, this is the dirtiest place I even slept oven night in my over 30 years traveling life. Any unwelcome insects are your companions, cockroaches, flies, mosquitoes etc. I opened the microwave to use, then, found unknown box with terrible smell. I closed.

  : It was a great location in the heart of Old San Juan and one of the more affordable options available on short notice. It certainly had... character, and in that respect was much more memorable than your basic hotel. The owner was quirky and had an adorable french bulldog. The skylight of the room was nice and had a chorus of coqui frogs around it to lull us to sleep. Mini fridge, TV, and AC all worked great. One of the few places we stayed that had the AC turned on for our arrival which is a nice welcome.
  : The host of the property never answered a single message on Booking.com, so make sure to get his phone number as the property is unmarked and seemingly the only way to get in is if you call him once you arrive. He will then ask you to text instead, and then once you do he will call you back... a strange order of operations. We had to wait 10 minutes for him to finish walking his dog and got to listen to him whistle on speaker phone as he approached, lol. We paid for a room with a private bathroom and were very thankful for it because some of the public ones reeked of urine. It was kind of bizarre that he proceeded to show us these less cleanly bathrooms as optional alternatives to our own, private bath. He may have just been going through the motions? The linens were clean but the floors and other surfaces were pretty dirty. When you leave you place a padlock on your door, but the metal hook screwed into our doorframe that is supposed to secure the door could easily be pulled out, making our room essentially open while we were out. While in the room you have a to use a sliding lock instead of the knob lock because that is also broken. There are also vents in the door that someone could easily force open and peek inside if they wish. It had some loose wiring around the outlets which was a bit nerve-wracking to have our toddler around. We asked about a crib which the listing said could be available upon request, but never received a reply about it, so don't count on one being there. It's not the worst place by any measure, it has a quirky charm, and I would be much kinder if it was considerably cheaper. The added fees really make a 1-night stay not quite worth the price, but I suppose you're paying for location more than anything. The upgrade to private bathroom and AC is worth it, however.

  : This place should not be available for rent! When I got there I sat outside for about 20 minutes trying to get the code to work (it didn't) after repeatedly ringing the bell someone finally answered (9pm) They told me the owner is dead and they don't know how to take if offline, but I couldn't stay there. I got upset and the guy took me to another guy's room who said he used to work there before the owner was dead but now he isn't working because there's no one to pay him. He let me stay in a "room" that was dirty but I had nowhere else to go. I want my money back - worst experience ever. Was dirty, "balcony" to the outside didn't shut or lock, sheets stunk, homeless cats everywhere, the guy that let me in said he no longer works there, I never signed anything or even gave my name. I had nowhere else to go and traveling solo as a girl and it was at night so I guess I'm glad they let me stay in the gross and dirty room rather than on the streets. Might be a scam about the dead owner to get you to cancel so they can keep the money since there's no refunds - either way was a horrible experience. When I said I couldn't cancel because I already paid, the older man said he didn't care. The guy that said he used to be the janitor at least took pity on me so I didn't have to sleep outside or something. Horrible experience overall and made me not even want to go back to San Juan. There were leaks in the ceiling, trash everywhere in the hallways, people were smoking cigarettes inside (the overall smell was so bad I gagged several times). THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR RENT AT ALL!!

  : La despedida but Charlie tried to make me feel comfortable. This is like a place you go to when you are broke and running away from your country. Refugee, trap house, brother style seriously.
  : No A/C, 2 Bathrooms (the single one had hit water and smelled like 7 years of urine and the other, a 2 shower bathroom was cold water). There is 2 balcony room and the bed takes up most of it.

  : I love the area period. It is safe and the 2nd floor house keeper is so funny and kind. The stay was dope because my price was 49 for the night. The rooms are big. The area is secure everything is within walling distance and the owner Gave me the best 3 weeks of my life. I will stay again here over a 5 star hotel.3 rd floor has kitchen AC microwave refrigerator and acess to the roof . The pool has no water
  : The 3rd floor housekeeper called me the n word, he thought I did not speak Spanish, he was rude, was watching me through the camera and I felt really scared and awkward. He is so rude. I never met a human so despicable. Be aware that he is not the owner and can never authorize you to do anything. The ants

  : Don’t go if you’re a vacationer. Only a traveler iykyk. Definitely a run down place with smelly bathrooms but will give you a great experience.

  : Just bring a bug repellant because PR is a tropical island, and you can meet certain bugs, I was bitten but survived, but I would've loved this advice. Other than that, you will love it. The managers in the facility are friendly and eccentric. I loved my Stay for the price, I got lucky to meet the owner, I met lots of spots through him, I wouldn't have had the experience I had if I never would've not landed here.
