  : location was fantastic for a ski weekend. Compact but good enough for a weekend. Apartment was clean apart from the mould in the corner on the bathroom ceiling. There was a bit of confusion on the location when we arrived as we thought the Saskia Falaise was completely separate building to the Pierre Vacancies Saskia Falaise (as you will see on the Avoriaz site). Turns out, they are in the same building but theres just different lifts to get into to get you to your apartment.
  : The fact that as we werent staying in a Pierre Vacancy owned apartment they would not let us store our luggage anywhere on the day we were leaving. Thankfully the ski storage locker to the apartment (which did not have a key for and we were unable to lock), we were able to put our travel bags and board bag in there and close the door whist we skid for the day. Thankfully it was all there at the end of the day.

  : The location was perfect. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. La Folie Douce and all festival activities were only a few minutes walk away. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed and they were all in good working condition. The shower had good water pressure and there was always hot water.
  : The check-in process was very confusing. We did not receive clear directions to the apartment so spent a long time looking around having to ask people where to go. I tried calling and was just told to find the right building, no clear instructions. We eventually found the apartment and let ourselves in with the key in the lockbox but then as we had just sat down for lunch in a restaurant, I received a phone call saying I had to come back and let cleaners into the apartment. This was at 15:40. We had been told by the receptionist to go straight to the room so we did not expect a phone call so late in the day saying the cleaning had not been done. Once the cleaning was done we could finally settle in. However, another unexpected issue was that we had to pay for bedsheets, pillowcases and towels. We were told this before arrival and had to pay in advance but we did not know this when we made the booking and found it ridiculous that there was an extra cost to have these basic items. Finally, although we understand that the reception in the hotel is not linked to our booking, we feel the need to complain about the appalling treatment my friend received. One of the members of our group was unwell and returned to the apartment while the rest of us carried on skiing. Unfortunately she realised she had forgotten the code for the lockbox and her phone was in the room. She went to reception and simply asked if she could use a phone to call one of us and get the code. She was repeatedly told no and given no help whatsoever. All the receptionist was being asked to do was show a shred of humanity by letting someone use a phone and they couldn't even do that. My friend ended up waiting in the cold for 2 hours while the receptionist sat there and watched. This behaviour is absolutely disgraceful in my opinion.

  : I didn't get a bathroom rug (tapis de bain) as part of the kit serviettes As this was outsides the regular seasons, as expected everything was closed except for 1 restaurant and 1 grocery store. I would have been nice/useful to have been told ahead of time which were the open places, so I didn't have to find them incidently.
