  : Four of us shared the apartment and the toilet paper ran out on the second last day. A minor inconvenience during a great stay. You need moderate fitness to handle the srairs.

  : Air conditioner in lounge wasnt working properly. Larissa tried to fix by brain storming on the phone and was very responsive but didnt really fix the problem. Apparently it was the first time it had happened in 10 years. Unlucky us. Thank goodness the one in the bedroom worked well.

  : We loved the air con, the space and an extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom and kitchen were very well kitted out with the washing machine etc. Our host was very friendly and welcoming (from Romania and had a better English and Italian vocabulary than the two of us put together) it made our stay in Lucca extra special. It was very, very clean. The apartment was central to everything we needed and wanted to visit, whilst being a relaxing and quiet home after a busy day out in the heat. The kitchen area had lots of little extras. As a couple we would definitely go back. We stayed for three nights. Hire a bicycle and ride the whole city walls/ramparts which look down on the city and are so wide they are tree lined, all on the flat and you can just stop off and eat and drink and go into different parts of the city for a look around.
  : There is no lift to this top floor apartment, and you have to climb 52 stone steps over 5 or 6 flights of stairs to get to it. If you have joint problems, you should consider this before booking. The white tiled floor in the bathroom has an undefined step down as you go towards the toilet and shower. If you're going to the toilet in the night, you can easily forget. We both stumbled on it even with lights on as it can't be seen properly. We moved a rug to where the step was. The step should be highlighted in case someone has a fall.

  : Once we found the man we were to meet, Teo, he was just wonderful- showed us around, gave us keys etc.
  : Couldnt find the apartment following Google Maps. Called number listed for assistance- owner who was not helpful.
