  : The host was most helpful with information prior to the trip & on arrival
  : The two rooms at the front are very noisy. Rereading the description, it accurately describes the old and characterful property, distance from the station etc, but it never mentions that two of the rooms overlook one of the busiest (& noisiest) pedestrian streets in Lucca. The windows over are amazingly beautiful, but have very little noise insulation. If we had known this beforehand we would not have booked the property as my partner is a light sleeper.If you are someone whos looking to be right in the middle of the town, and are likely to go to bed late / sleep through anything then Im sure youll have a great stay in this charming property. Alessandro is a great host. But this wasnt for us Im afraid.

  : Location was in the old city which meant you are in the historic area. Meals are not included but easy to find.

  : Great location, room was beautiful
  : The common area was cold (we were there in January). Our bedroom, warmed up after we turned up the heat. During the warmer months this would not be a problem, but due to its central location, I imagine it being noisy when the windows were open.

  : Historic building means no elevator, so 2 flights of stairs was very trying with luggage for 2 Seniors
