: The apartment was very lovely - for me as a solo traveller it was great. The bed was comfy, everything was clean, and they met me with the key when I arrived and let me keep my bags there even though it still needed to be cleaned. The woman that gave me the key was friendly and gave me a nice introduction so that was helpful. The apartment itself is Unesco certified because it's in an old area and it was quite beautiful with it's old flooring, etc. but remodeled with new appliances and furniture which were nice.
: 3 important notes - I am a fitness instructor and still found this location still a challenge to come and go from throughout my stay. I wanted to like it there and had picked it because I thought it was a central location. It technically is central but it's important to note that there is a steep old staircase in any direction you choose to come and go from the place to get to other areas of interest. I counted the one that goes down to the waterfront and it's about 200 stairs. Getting to and from the location with my bags was a challenge - you can't really drive up to it. Anyway, just good to know what it's actually like. The second thing is I picked an apartment because I like to have my own food at the place sometimes but there is barely a supermarket in the area. Like, they have one tiny one but it was packed with tourists and hard to get any food.. not much variety anyway. So, I felt like I couldn't use the kitchen anyway. The third thing is my unit was under a wine bar so it was loud sometimes. And I could hear people in the apartment next to mine and people who were walking through the area. I actually felt like this bothered me the least though - I live in a city and am used to some noises and they really weren't that bad.
