  : Beds, staff, hotel is clean and tidy. Well maintained outside.
  : Safe did not work. Refrig froze everything including expensive wine we brought with us to enjoy; no settings to adjust. Guests asked to leave that beautiful garden seating area if sitting early morning with a pastry and coffee. Told can't have outside food?? Okay then what did we pay for? There is no place else to gather. All of the charm is largely this patio. AND if you are upstairs there may be one or two seating areas, for 10 rooms but if downstairs nothing outside of your room. I was not asked to leave but 3 tables around me were. I only had coffee. Btw. This was long before their brunch service (so no other food available). And NO one sat at tables set at that time with nothing more than silverware for upcoming breakfast. They all respected those tables and sat at empty tables. I hurt for the folks enjoying time with others who were disrupted. If the hotel does not own the patio, then don't advertise that guests can enjoy. Guests get pool area, and that's it! I paid as others did, handsomely for that ambiance to enjoy in the early mornings. How dare they!

  : Close to lots of restaurants and cafes in old town Monterey. Food at hotel restaurant wasn’t bad. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Price was reasonable considering convenience of location.
  : Felt like a cheap motel that was given a makeover — small and dated rooms with very thin walls. Restaurant service was terrible: didn’t check on us, forgot things in our order, gave drinks after bringing out food. Homeless person was screaming in the parking lot in the middle of the night — not sure what the $17 parking is paying for in terms of security.

  : Clean and there is a nice restaurant on the property.
  : We were out for shopping and when we came back our door was slightly open. I asked my friend if she remembers shutting it and she said she did and even pulled it closed. It was strange, nothing was taken or anything. It just spooked us a bit.

  : When we arrived we waited too long to get our room. Just one person checking in people and she was dismissive and rude

  : The whole experience was great. The room with fireplace, the spa treatment and the location close walking distance to wharf and downtown.
