  : Lovely area , nice and quiet-a short drive to Bamburgh or Seahouses along the road.Cottage well appointed with everything you would need, including a washing machine and dryer, and finished in a contemporary style
  : A few minor issues in an otherwise lovely stay:1.Could link phone to sound system on wall, but sadly no sound .Tv Played music via you tube so no biggie.2.The underside of one of the trays in the fridge had staining on it from the last guests. I got most of it off using the sponge but feel.this should have been checked.

  : Unfortunately and big unfortunately here, we did not get to stay in Avocet Cottage due to very poor location direction from whoever that was responsible for it. Our rating is based on not stating at Avocet Cottage but somewhere else due to poor direction location.
  : It was very frustrating that we could not find where Avocet Cottage was located. Our GPS kept us taking to the wrong place over and over again due to not having a specific address. We had to ask a number of people in Lucker where Avocet Cottage was located due to above reason and nearly all of them had no idea. An elderly gentleman next to Apple Inn directed us to a road on the left hand side of a war memorial from Apple Inn..a local Pub. We found two cottages there with a sign of Lucker cottages. We thought these were the cottages we booked as we were getting very desperate and it was getting close to 5 pm.We used the 4 digit key lock code (that was provided to us by the owner of Avocet Cottage when we booked originally via Booking.Com). It opened the key box and the key on it opened the door of the cottage which was called Roe Deer. This was a two storey cottage. Apparently this was not Avocet Cottage as the owner sent a message the next day asking if we left our luggage in Avocet Cottage. We said no because we never could find where Avocet Cottage was and did not stay at that cottage! We tried to ring the number that was provided by the owner 7 times when we could not find Avocet Cottage but it was not answered. We will never forget this experience. The cottage (Roe Deer) that we stayed and opened using the key code that was provided, thinking it was Avocet Cottage was actually a cottage for up to 6 people. The cottage (Roe Deer) was well cleaned and looked after.

  : Nicely presented, clean and comfortable property easy access to the A1
  : The double bed seemed to be made up of two separate beds or if it want it had a hard fairly uncomfortable ridge down the centre of the bed this could be easily solved with a mattress topper. Coffee, tea and long life milk available but welcome pack would of been appreciated and a nice touch.

  : It was cold but there were NO instructions for the heating either central or the fire. It was an electric fire and the only heating instructions available mentioned logs which, obviously, didn't apply.
