  : The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The evening meal was good and reasonably priced. There was a good choice at breakfast.
  : The major issue was having a room at the front of the hotel which was subject to traffic noise throughout the night. The hotel is just off a non-trunk route A-road but the road was much busier with heavy good vehicles than expected. There was no air-conditioning so it became unpleasantly hot if the window was closed fully. For a hotel of this standard, I would have also expected a couple of small easy chairs in the room so one could sit down rather than have lie on the bed. There were also a couple of areas in the bathroom which were not as clean as expected.

  : Lovely village location. Very friendly staff from the owners, bar & restaurant staff, breakfast & cleaning staff. Delicious breakfast & evening meals.
  : Busy road from the early hours in the morning that runs through the village. Had an issue on the second night with the slats in the bed breaking, resulting in sleeping on the sofa bed with hardly no sleep. The following morning the owner kindly arranged for us to be moved to another room. On our final night when having our meal, the waitress confirmed they were not charging us for our drinks as a gesture for the issue with the bed on the second night. Good to see a business dealing with customer issues in a decent & respectful manner.

  : Breakfast choice was excellent the food nicely cooked. The area is lovely, the main road could be a bit noisy early morning, however, farming has to be done.
  : Room was a bit tardy and could do with a freshen up. We did have a problem with the cleanliness of the shower. This was pointed out to the duty manager, who was lovely, friendly, very apologetic and dealt with the problem quickly. The mattress had seen better days with a large saggy area on one side and a few lumps elsewhere and really could do with replacing.

  : The central heating was not on so I had to use the electric heater which was adequate but not ideal

  : The room was very small just enough room for a double bed and one small chair. The bathroom was disgraceful . Grime up the wall in the shower. Dirty shower head. Sink plug hole filthy. Filthy extractor fan. Door to bathroom was warped unable to open once in there had to get help. Radiators not working . I took photos of the relative problems above. We decided not to use the bathroom or have a shower as it was so unclean. I complained to the person who worked behind the bar showed her the photos and took her up to the room. I have also sent an email complaining but its been over a weekAnd no reply. There didnt appear to be any manager on call and the lady who dealt with the payment took 40 off the Restaurant bill but due to the condition of the room felt they should have reimbursed us with the cost of the room which was 140. Very disappointed.

  : The food was amazing both in the evening for Dinner and for Breakfast. The room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable.
  : It could use a mirror in the actual bedroom (no 6) very hard trying to do your hair as the plugs are nowhere near the bathroom where the mirror was.
