  : The room was a good size with a pleasant view of the garden. The staff on reception and at breakfast were efficient and helpful.
  : They need much better signage - there was nothing on the entrance to indicate that reception was inside. The car park for the hotel was signed as 'Residents Parking ' rather than guest or hotel parking so we assumed there were homes on the site. We had to do a full loop of the site to establish that was where we were meant to park. I had tried to book a couple of treatments at the spa in advance but was told they only had one therapist on so wouldn't be able to accommodate anything other than short treatments. We used the pool - the corridor between the changing rooms and pool wasn't very clean and there was nowhere to put our towels as all of the chairs were claimed and there weren't any hooks. We had booked dinner in the Garden Brasserie. There was a very loud party in the adjoining bar and staff left the doors open between the two rooms. The starters were a good size but disappointing - my fishcakes were a bit dry, and the pork belly 'bites' were actually large strips of pork which were quite tough. The mains and desserts were fine. We went through to the lounge for coffee. It took a while to be brought through and the waitress just put the tray down and walked away, which was odd. That night there was a lot of noise in the corridor outside our room - didn't seem to be any noise damping at all on the door.
