  : We got ourselves a room with private bathroom which was a bliss after couple of shared-bathroom hostels. You'll learn to appreciate this kind of comforts quickly. Our hostess and her colleagues were friendly, and also good in English - especially in this part of the country we met several people who could speak Slovak only, so it was nice to have some chat, thank you! Our place was modest and could use some renovations (probably the works are still going on), but it was possible to see the effort put into keeping this place.
  : It was just my own problem: I misread the map and thought this hostel was near the railway station. It was not. It was in basically outside of town (take bus No 24 to Priehradna, the final stop!). But then again, as Žilina is not a big town, taking a bus from the railway station is just a 8-9 minute journey. But then again, during certain times busses go very seldom.Also, the hostel is beside the railroad, so there were 1-2 trains per hour passing by. Loud trains, so you need earplugs if you are a light sleeper :)
