  : The property itself showed much promise and is in a good location (a short walk from town).
  : The property needs some TLC. It wasnt particularly clean and accompanied by evident cracks within the property, led to complications with ants. Flying ants and normal ants were all in the kitchen, fridge, next to the bed and working their way around the whole studio through cracks in the plaster on the perimeter of the interior of the property.When we raised the issue with the property owner, they offered the option of moving to another property they owned, or having a refund for the remaining nights we were meant to stay there (5 nights). Since the property they offered was not even close to the value of this property, we opted for the refund option. After weeks of dishonesty, the original refund we were promised still hasnt come. We went on the 24th October, were told our refund would come very soon on the 26th of October. It has got to a point where we are having to seek help from the bank as the property owner, HR Madeira are no longer communicating with us. We are still out of pocket by hundreds of pounds. This has been a very distressing scenario and completely tarnished the holiday. We were under the impression that we would have the money returned to us very soon after being told we could be refunded. Having had to front the cost of another property whilst we were on holiday, then not having that money being refunded, we were under a lot of stress.I would really advise anyone to avoid booking this property or using HR Madeira.

  : We had an excellent stay! The location is ideal, both extremely quiet and right next to the pedestrian street that offers a wide choice of local restaurants. The apartment is modern, spacious and luxurious, and offers an incredible view of the ocean and the cliff. You will literally be rocked by the sound of the waves. The infinity pool is beautiful, a little cold in December (which is normal) but very clean and pleasant, especially for cooling off after a good hike. The host was welcoming and responsive, we will definitely come back without hesitation!
