: Cosy boutique hotel at the heart of Monte, close to two cable cars (one to the botanical gardens, one to Funchal), another botanical garden, the church, and the famous wicker basket sledges. There are buses to Funchal as well. The hotel staff were very friendly, the rooms were spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and clean. The private balcony with a view of Funchal and the sea was a cherry on top. The welcome basket was generous. The windows isolate the sound from the outside very well.
: The only improvement would be to provide some basic cooking essentials in the kitchenette (salt, olive oil).

: The Location is brilliant, the cable car , (Teleferico) is about 60 m away ,the Monte palace tropical garden about 80 m the bus stop for a bus number 22 into Funchal about 20 m it couldnt be better placed . The property was very spacious, extremely clean and had everything you need. A kettle, cutlery crockery, pans, etc. Amazing shower. Huge bed.All the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Outside our apartment we had a table and chairs to sit with a cuppa take in the sun and watch the teleferico and enjoy the view. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfasts were delicious and filling.they serve food from about 8.30 am until 9 pm and if youre going out for the day you can order a picnic for the next day. We arrived very late about11.30 pm. They had provided complimentary sandwiches and a bottle of Madeira wine for us Hugo met us on arrival and was very friendly and spoke great English. Made us feel very welcome.Ricardo, Sonia, Hugo ,Joao, Antonio ,Selina and the rest of the staff made it a great experience. Thankyou guys. I would highly recommend this accommodation
: The only issue we had was internet connection in the room. But I could get internet in the restaurant. To be fair to the staff I didnt mention it until day 4 and they were very busy serving food so I think they forgot and I didnt pursue it any further.
