Dayton Beach Resort Direct Ocean 5th Floor

  : Resort was clean & balcony with ocean view was nice. The resort itself would deserve a much higher rating. My rating is on my specific private unit!
  : I have never wrote a review and over the years I have stayed at many many private studios and apartments when at the beach. When we arrived at the hotel/apartment (rm 546) we walked into a sauna…the AC was set on 85* the humidity & moisture from the room had the floor and all the bedding damp. So I first went to the closet thinking there would be linens to change out the bedding & rewash what was on there and wet the next day but there was nothing!!!! (This wasn’t a weekend trip rental it was for 7 days). Then we walked in the bathroom & there was 2 towels hanging on the towel holder both wet…a half roll of toilet paper and 1 roll on the back of the toilet both damp & wet. So we opened up the drawers and cupboards hoping to find some dry towels and washcloths and toilet paper and much to our surprise the cupboards and drawers were completely empty except for 2 washcloths and a hand towel which were both wet and smelled of mildew. So being that it was very late and we just wanted to go to sleep we had to use our beach towels to dry off after our showers!! So the next morning I phoned the renter to see how we were to go about getting extra towels & linens because we were staying 7 days and 2 towels for 2 people for 7 days just don’t get it….& 1 set of bed sheets for 7 days at a beach with sand doesn’t get it either……she informed me that her regular cleaning lady had been on quarantine and had all her supplies so she had to get another person to fill in & pretty much what was there is what we had. I was told there was a wash machine and dryer on the 2nd floor we could just wash our stuff when needed and she’d reimburse for the cost of laundering our stuff.

  : The stress pain and anxiety they caused my family after being in a vehicle for 7 hours telling is idk what to tell you go pay for a new hotel excuse me no that's not how a. Buisness works The beach was okay except our first day we had to watch police break down a door and arrest someone for domestic at our hotel that was great to let my kids see and hear while on vacation ..... Smh

  : The location was fine
  : Daytona beach resort and convention center condo 5th rental has many issues. First it is directly across from the elevators and since there are often MANY young people in-house at the convention center the noise level is incredible. Think 3am yelling and screaming loud. Additionally the owner is either very new or is dishonest. Don't think you will get your damage deposit back without going to court. The ice maker makes six cubes every six hours or so, the facility ice machines on the 5th and 6th floors had a total of 2Cups of ice. I finally gave up and bought my own 10lb bag at the 7-11, Jeeeez. I had to beg the owner for the WiFii password; really? Really? No instructions as to where a garbage shoot is? Never found it. Then above all this, even after washing the dishes [no dishwasher in the micro-kitchenette] he had the gall to keep the damage deposit with no communication. This owner's family has many legal issues and it certainly smells like this is just another level of dishonesty. In short, no one really wants this headache, rent from someone else.
