  : First of all, the location is very central, right next to the Piazza di Duomo and it is very easy to walk from the bus station to the apartment (if you come by bus from the airport, which is a very good, cheap and fast option ..just 4 eur per person, 25 min drive).The apartment is in a historical building, well maintained, many other apartments in there. You have elevator for 1 floor but then need to go by stairs another 2 floors. It wasn't that bad for us, but keep it in mind if you have big luggage, small kids, strollers, etc.Next, the actual apartment that we got is split on 2 floors inside, it is not very large but enough for us. You have a kitchen/ dining area and also a folding bed there (quite comfortable) on the "ground floor". Then you go up some narrow stairs to the bedroom and bathroom. Comfortable bed, clean room. The bathroom is rather large & spacious, also clean, no problems with the hot water as they had a boiler right there.To the last floor, again narrow stairs, and you reach a very nice little terrace. We had breakfast there and some afternoon/ evenings were nice to just sit and relax. You have a view on multiple sides: up to the sea (not full, open view, but still nice), then also towards the cathedral and on one side even you can see the volcano.The apartment is very well located in the center, easy to start walking in every direction and get to all the visiting spots.Plenty of options around for eating, also nice local bakeries where you can get something for breakfast and then enjoy it on the terrace.The daily market is all around the building and connecting streets and the fish market is towards the back of the building, it can get a bit noisy in the morning and during the day, but it just feels like this is the sound and vibe of this area. However, if you need to sleep in more, we didn't hear too much noise , even if there was so much going on around us.
  : The only small issues we had were with the heating.. but take into account that we visited begining of December. So, even if during the day it was rather warm and pleasant outside (up to 24 Celsius) and also in the apartment, it does get chilly in the evening and at night. The apartment has 2 air conditioning which we used for heating, but they have some settings that are not very intuitive, plus the thermostat should be included in there... but not sure how it works all the time. Even if we set some temperatures at night, it tends to reach the temperature and then not start up again if the fan is on a low intensity setting for example. We did manage to find some ways to keep it on more, but also the air gets dry (have in mind if you are sensitive to this aspect or cannot stay too much in this type of air con heating).Also, as suggestion to the hosts, please consider cleaning the air conditioning (inside the machine) more often.Other than this, nothing to say.
