  : Location in nice village jn lovely countryside. 2 pubs very close. Great for walking and cycling locally. Recommend Tissington Trail and High Peak circular cycle route and also Carsington Water cycle route.

  : good location, easy on street parking, cosy environment and nice deco, good wifi and complementary Netflix (good job its there cos there's no mobile signal in the house). Right opposite to a pub so convenient to dine out (need booking in advanced)
  : there was damp patch on the carpet in living room causing occasional smell, but landlord explained it was due to a leak which was repaired but would take time to dry. This was only a minor point as it didn't cause too much inconvenience, hopefully other visitors won't have this problem

  : Location was lovely, house was very spacious, supplied plenty of dishwasher tabs, bin bags etc & shower was very powerful.Fire in living room was very warm & radiator in snug made it very cosy
  : Only thing was out of their control - there isn't any on-site parking.Also, sink in top bathroom is only easy to use if you are shorter than 5ft 6', so used one in middle level instead, so no issue

  : Very comfortable house- warm and well equipped. Plenty of crockery/ cutlery to use dishwasher. Good showers.Good location for local walks and close to Carsington Water where there is a cafe, good play park and walking/ cycling routes. Also a play park in the village next to the school which our children (age 7, 5, 5, 3yrs) enjoyed.Excellent, friendly pub directly opposite which does very good food- The Gate Inn.Always found parking space in the street outside for 2 cars.About 20mins drive to both Matlock and Ashborne.
  : Bedroom doors stuck (on lovely thick carpets)- already addressed with owner.Snug room at back door might be better used as a boot room/ bike store and utility room and could do with more coat hooks- not really a negative, just our observation!

  : Lots of space, comfortable beds and living room. Kitchen was fully equipped. Had a wonderful stay.
  : Lots of spiderwebs around the house, just a little bit more hoovering would have been nice.
