  : Too far from York centre cost a lot in taxi fare no bath but that's only personal preference

  : It was in a convenient location for the train station.
  : The toilet looked like it had not been cleaned so had to clean it myself and some staff were a bit rude

  : Beautiful old country pub. We was welcomed by Jess booked in straightaway and made to feel at home. Jess even called 2 days before stay to book us in for dinner. The meal was fabulous and exceptional & not expensive high standard fresh cooked food, Thanks to the chef. All staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for us really polite & friendly. Rooms we're comfy, clean and warm as the weather dropped to -5 during our stay. Really enjoyed our stayed and will be back thank you!

  : Staff were great. Room clean and comfy. Food was delicious. Lots of parking. Near park and ride into York.
  : More lights needed at the front of property. Nearly missed turn off in the dark, just couldn't see it.

  : Staff were faultless. Very helpful and we checked in early with no issues. Room was ok and bed was comfy. Pub looked lovely but only ate breakfast in the morning. Good location too. Train or bus to York within walking distance in the village.
  : No light outside the main door. Pitch black when we got back in at midnight and had to use our phones to see what we were doing. Outside the rooms was a bit run down but it looks like the room doors are to be painted as they have all been stripped. Breakfast was expensive for what it was but we got it for free so not a complaint! Wardrobes were really dusty but this is just an observation.
