  : Food was excellent and staff were personable and worked very hard as there was a sign stating they were understaffed which was not reflected in the service they provided..
  : We stayed in 2 rooms above Rosie earlier this year and they were beautiful and spacious which set the precedence and expectations of what to expect this time. This time we stayed in the Rosie room which must be a dog friendly room as the cleanliness was not great in this room. The valance around the bed was filthy and wet as were the skirtings dirty, carpet stained and bathroom floor not clean. The bath's shower door needs replacing, In fact the whole room and bathroom need updating. The state of the table used for the kettle etc was rather surprising. underneath the glass panel. The room has a corridor outside with private access to the small garden which on paper was great if you had a dog, but why on earth would you put a plain white duvet cover on the bed and have a cream carpet. We didn't dare let our dog go outside as it rained constantly. We would not recommend staying in this room for the price we paid which was the same if we chose one of the lovely rooms upstairs. I would recommend management viewing the state of this room-look at the valance, shower screen and table please.

  : Great atmosphere, fantastic dinner, lovely feel to the hotel.
  : Bathroom was a little cramped (but its an old hotel, so understandable) and bathroom door would have been hard for an elderly couple.

  : Lovely historic building with lots of interesting nooks. Plenty of places to sit if you want to relax and chill.Good bedroom.Lovely food.
  : The only thing we missed was more people in the restaurant for dinner- something you can't control.

  : The choices of coffee and tea was excellent, probably the best we've ever had. The bed was extremely comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very good and good choice of wine. Very accessible for the shops and restaurants on Burford high street.
  : We couldn't get the shower to work in our room. The coffee machine was leaking water. The service at breakfast was very slow, appeared to serve one table at a time.
