  : Disappointed that didnt manage to go in hot tub (was empty) or use pool facilities - had to pre book and couldnt do online. Not hosts fault - was parkdean website issue.

  : No wifi or internet connection at the property. Disappointed teenager and husband who had to work. Internet access should be standard these days! Cobwebs on decking. Would have been nice if cleaners dusted down before we arrived. No dishwasher tablets supplied and not given advance warning to bring any. Not willing to buy a big box but also no plug for kitchen sink so wasted a lot of water to wash-up. Batteries ran out on TV remote control. Again dont want to have to go and buy to replace for the next guests!

  : The location was lovely. The staff at Sykes Cottage were really helpful trying to resolve all the issues we faced
  : The fact that the boiler was broken so we couldn't stay there. We had to she'll out for a hotel instead.

  : Attention to detail over cleanliness! Had no internet connection which was important. Dirty cushions on settees. Windows in lounge had finger marks all over them Table in lounge dirty finger marks and we never used it. No mattress protector on one double mattress, which was stained. Slightly. Pillows as thin as they get. Outside was a mess needs to be swept and cleaned. An old rusty barbecue and a hot tub that needs a clean. People in the cabin next door, outside until 2am Being very noisy and I mean noisy! We didnt stay the 2nd night. For the price charged I expected better.

  : Excellent location for exploring the area. If you don't drive or want to drive, bus stop just outside the park on the main road. As self catering goes it was very well equipped. There were a few board games that kept our teens occupied for a while. Club house ok for a meal and a few drinks. Towels and bedding provided. Little packet with couple of dishwasher tablets, black bag and washing up cloth also provided. 1 toilet roll in bathroom and ensuite.
  : Unit description says washing machine but there wasn't. Some jets not working on hot tub. Whole place could do with a deep clean - cobwebs on light fittings, dust / dirt hanging down from radiator. Awful smell coming from ensuite. Lightshade missing from master bedroom which we found in a wardrobe. Non existent communication from owner once these points were raised. Some beds had mattress / pillow protectors and some didn't. Broken picture frame in twin bedroom. For the price paid its very poor quality. With a little TLC it could be really nice.

  : Beautiful location and a lovely spacious lodge.We really enjoy having a private jacuzzi and outdoor seating area.Beds were comfy. Easy to find and a great place to explore from.Had no idea it was a Parkdean resort until I got there, but it was far nicer than other parkdean locations I've been to. We didn't use the communal facilities at all but the park and lodge were lovely and I would go again.
  : The lodge could have been cleaner. It was surface cleaned, but we had to wash the dishes and pans before we used them.There were no bin bags or toilet paper, so be sure to take those with you! Also, it's worth noting that often these kinds of places have salt, oil etc left by others so you just get whats missing, but this place was completely empty so take these with you or you will send a lot as the local shops were expensive.A few things were broken, light shades, a picture, and a mirror, but nothing that caused us any trouble.We olied all the cupboard doors as they were squeaky!
