  : Beautiful location, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, with Whitby not far away.
  : Car parking is slightly awkward, on a narrow drive with very tight turning-circle (which is inaccessible when another car is already parked) - difficult to see how this could be remedied, though.

  : Location great for North York Moors and Whitby. Was a bit close to a busy main road but noise wasn't a problem. The cottage met pretty much all of our needs. Helen, the landlady, was very friendly and helpful.
  : A washing machine would have been useful, or a laundry facility - but not a show stopper.

  : The host was very obliging, particularly helping us find the property when we were quite lost. It was well located for visiting many places and everything we could ask for was provided.
  : Not much to dislike. The property was very dark but that goes with the type and age. Whether we didn't discover it, but we would have liked a folder with information on local attractions, timetables for bus and train and eating places, etc.

  : Good hospitality, very friendly and welcoming. Cosy and warm and everything you could wish for. Like a home from home.
  : Road noise takes a bit of getting used to. Shower is not very good.

  : I changed the dates and stayed 4 - 11 May 2024.Cottage was spotlessly clean, there was a Welcome Pack, I used the bedroom downstairs and there was also a toilet on the ground floor. Everything you need for a great stay.It was located 5 minutes from Park & Ride.
  : If I had to be critical it would be for the parking. You have to cross a quite busy road, pull up outside big metal gates, open the gate, drive in then shut the metal gate. To be fair, it was to protect children and animals. It would not stop me going again though.
