Disappointing

  : Hot water took more than five minutes to heat up, no hand soap. Unbelievably no drawers in the room. Night light broken, no usbs for charging. Balcony very dirty. No intention of cleaning the room unless asked to do so. Very old fashioned hotel for 2024, more suited to the eighties. On the whole not worth the money. I would not stay again.

  : Bed was so uncomfortable as well as pillow I’ve got a back injury come back due to the bed and the pillows were terrible. Room wasn’t much I was expecting a little bit nicer / bigger room.

  : Although I selected ‘pay at property’ while booking, Best Western Sunset Plus took two payments of approx $347USD from my account before we arrived. I was extremely disappointed with this and they can provide no real solution, other than giving a refund, which will take 7-10 working days to return to me. That was supposed to be my spending money for the trip. On top of this, Booking dot com had a glitch, and our room was booked twice, hence me being charged twice. My messages asking for this to be rectified (as it was not my fault) were ignored (other messages were responded to). It seems they have a very amateur staff. Apparently they charged my card early because the hotel was fully booked that night. We saw there were still three rooms the same type as ours advertised on Booking dot com. When I mentioned this, the guy on reception looked very flustered, like he’d been caught out. It was kind of funny actually. Anyway, I’m sure this is usually a nice place to stay, but a massive dampener has been put on our trip by Best Western Sunset Plus taking $700 USD from my account without permission/authorisation, not being able to provide a valid reason why, not trying to apologise at all, and not being able to return the money they wrongfully took from me. My boyfriend paid for the night upon arrival, so we have now been charged three times for the same night. Disgusting business practice.

  : The staff where really pleasant and helpful at all times. The location was good for city touristy pursuits, but far from the beach etc.
  : The breakfast area was far to small for the size of the hotel and you were always fighting to get a table. The food was also bland basic and repeated.

  : Only a small window, very limited natural lightEvery time someone in the vicinity opens or closes a door, you know about it. I kept thinking someone was coming into our room. The cleaners use vacuum cleaners that sound like they are about to shoot off to Mars. So loud!! Not ideal if you want to sleep past 8am. You can hear all movement of guests in room above you. The breakfast provided is ok, I’d recommend going to Level 4 - much more peaceful. Staff are friendly, but I was clearly really unhappy about a situation where a huge payment was taken from my account without authorisation and not one person apologised for this, and when the refund did come through I was $40 poorer, due to currency conversion etc. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
