Traveller Type: Solo Traveler
  : Common room/kitchen looks great and is comfortable. The kitchen is fully functional, with a hot stove, cutting board and cooking utensils. The bathroom is updated as well. The building itself looks beautiful. The location is great, you can reach almost everything on foot. The street where the hostel is located goes up and down, but the hostel is a short distance from the tram line, so it's doable even with a heavy rolling bag (with a little huffing and puffing on the way up). There are some friendly cats outside. Wifi signal was good but not great.
  : Considering how high the ceilings are it's surprising how small the space between the bunks is. I constantly hit my head. There are curtains on the side of the bunk beds, which is great, but there is no curtain between two bunk beds that stay in one line. You have to pay extra for the towel and to wash your clothes, though it's not expensive. There is no lock on the bedroom doors. The only locked door is the outside door of the "flat" (two bedrooms with bunk beds, common area and a bathroom). On one hand you don't have to carry a key with you when going to the kitchen or to the bathroom, but I missed the comfort of locking the bedroom at night. Shower stall is not very spacious. There is only one bathroom with toilet and shower, so at full occupancy (6 + 8) it could be a wait. Clear drinking water is not provided, so you would have to buy your own (tap water is not drinkable here) - there are grocery stores nearby, so not a big problem, there is also a water vending machine a bit further up the street (the cheapest option, UAH 1 for 1 L, paper money only).
