  : The description didnt indicate there wasn't on site staff. After booking told to go to another location to pick up the keys, it was supposedly directly across the street. It was extremely hard to find a nearly 1/2,mile away over bridges with many steps

  : There is a young blonde guy, with blue eyes on reception (during the night time on September 21st) he is out of any basic ethics of hospitality. The hotel better to have plan on educating its staff. The young man was extremely rude, unprofessional, literally started cussing us in Italian when we asked for hot water. Didnt respond to our greeting, in fact its his responsibility to greet the guests. Get rid of your rude and unprofessional staff. We are overall disappointed with our visit in Venice due to the unpleasant behavior of staff in hotel and restaurant. Italians need to learn respect people.

  : Very poorly sign posted. Wandered around several times without finding the property even though it was right in front of us. Street address didnt match booking address. Shower was awful. You had to hold the shower dead in one hand while you washed yourself with your other hand.

  : The location was central and just far enough away from the main tourist walkway. The room was spacious and had a view of one of the canals. The bed was very comfy. There was lift access. A good place to eat nearby for breakfast. There was a nice terrace to sit out on (but see my comments on what could be improved). Venice is an expensive place. This was good value and spacious. The room was spotless.
  : This isn't a complaint but more of a comment as we already knew the situation. Checking in is at a sister hotel. When you have cases, it's a little frustrating. Getting to the accommodation is, like much of Venice, difficult, in that many of the canal bridges aren't good for wheeled cases. You either carry, or use one of the many porters offering their services, or a taxi boat if the hotel is suitably placed. We did it ourselves. It was worth the sweat. There weren't enough clothes hangers in the wardrobe (3). Their is a lovely terrace on the roof. Historically you could take breakfast there. Now the operation doesn't have onsite staff or breakfast. The plants on the terrace are dying. There is a kettle in what was the kitchen area but no cups. We made our own arrangements. It's a lovely spot ... and such a waste. The view over the canal was a bonus. But the delivery boats which obviously use the canals and supply the hotels and restaurants etc were noisy quite early in the morning. Not necessarily frustrating as getting up early to make the most of your Venice stay is useful.
