  : Good sized room, nice to have a proper double bed. With Crete experiencing the worst heatwave since 1987 it was also a real blessing to have good air-conditioning! (extra at 35 euros a week). Bathroom is very small so care needed when having a shower. I did not realise when booking that property does not have a pool, but the beach is only a 5 minute walk up the road....and for those with accessibility difficulties the walk is completely flat! An excellent Greek Restaurant Katerina Taverna is just across the road, and I ate there a number of times...gorgeous food at very good prices and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There is also a cafe next to the apartments that serve the typical drinks and english breakfasts if that's what you are looking for. Next to them is a large supermarket where you can get everything you need to go self-catering - the Koula studios are well equipped for that and even give you a sponge and dishwashing liquid for cleaning up! I have stayed in a number of studios/apartments in the Stalis area over the last 10 years and the Koula Apartments would be one of the two that I would most highly recommend.

  : Basic rooms with balcony, TV and fully equipped kitchenette in the center of Stalida, close to everything. Big supermarket 50m up the road, also bus stop 100m from the property and beach within minutes. Fully functional AC (extra charge). Nice and helpful landlord
