  : Lovely welcome from the owner and her mum. I only stayed for 1 night as I wanted to go out and drink without worrying about driving nome. Bed was lovely and comfy and shower was large with plenty of hot water. (The only complaint would be that the shower head wasn't positioned to spray correctly). Nice small pool and although it's at the front, on the main road, the noise is not really noticeable due to the high wall. I would suggest requesting a room on the garden side though, if traffic noise bothers you at night. 5-10 minute walk to all the bars and restuarants, depending how fast you walk. I'd just had a knee replacement and found the walk very easy. Breakfast was lovely and filled me up for the drive home. I would definately reccoommend this hotel, even for a longer stay, as it's quiet considering how close everything is. I had room 8 on the ground floor overlooking the garden and it was quiet and cool as well. The bus stop is close by on the main route so very easy to get to.

  : They serve the breakfast to your table. I would've preferred a buffet where you could choose for yourself.
  : They kept a dog around which kept barking aggressively at the hotels guests. The room seemed pretty worn down. The mirror shelf in the bathroom was tilted, so you could barely put anything on it. There was no shower curtain. You had to pay extra for AC. You had to turn the key to the door really hard, to the point where it seemed jammed. The TV was carelessly mounted off axis. The water took minutes to change temperature. They skipped cleaning the room one day (I declined room cleaning one day when I was busy in the room, and then they just skipped it the following day without asking). The noise levels from outside were pretty high. The pool wasn't kept very clean, you could see big bugs floating around in it which they didn't take notice of even though the staff was there the whole time. All in all, this was way overpriced compared to other options - I did stay at a different place for a couple of days which was both cheaper and way better in every regard.

  : Wonderful owners . The hotel has a great location, only a 5 minute walk to the main strip . Lovely little pool area. Huge continental breakfast available for only 5 euros which is fantastic value. I stayed in a twin bed room with a small balcony area , the room has a full sized fridge and the shower worked well with plenty of hot water .
  : Nothing to dislike about this typically Greek hotel. Be aware it is set off the main road, expect some traffic noise in the afternoon but the road becomes a lot quieter at night .

  : The Elvira Hotel was perfect for my particular needs - peaceful, low-key, away from the crowds yet only a 3 minute walk to the bustle of Stalis` restaurants and bars. Why go to a crowded beach when you have an exceptional warm pool on the premises with sun loungers for tranquil contemplation and tables and chairs for eating, drinking, reading. Special mention must go to Frossos, the hotel owner, who is possessed of calm, intelligence, attentiveness. I don`t know if this translates into Greek, but she is a good egg! Highly recommended. I shall be visitng again. Yamas Richard

  : The owner was lovely and welcoming when we arrived at 11 o clock at night and continued throughout our stay when we crossed paths. It was our anniversary during our stay and she heard us mention it, the next thing we knew was she had left us a bottle of wine with a congratulatory note which we thought was a lovely gesture. Beds were made every day with clean towels left. Room was adequate for what we needed and the bed, 2 singles pushed together, was huge and one of the comfiest I've had in Crete

  : Lovely little hotel. Very close to bars restaurants and beach-only 5 minute walk. The owner was lovely.
