  : Great location right in the centre of Southwell and although no parking on site the public car park is very reasonable and only 1 minute walk away. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Despite Booking.com messing up the booking, the reception staff were excellent in resolving the issue.

  : Our shower didn't work in our room, so we couldn't wash the next day. Overall condition of the room was quite poor, could do with a refresh

  : Easy check in, helpful staff, room size was good.
  : Bedding and towels were clean, but the property itself was in a poor state. Filthy hand marks all up the guest stairwells that hadn't been cleaned in ages and layers of dust on skirting boards. Mould in shower seals.

  : Nothing. We got locked out, mistakenly we think by another customer. We missed 7hrs sleep we were told there wasnt a problem with the lock. We were offered 50% refund. I asked for full refund. Booking.com customer service has not resolved this for us and I am getting sent from one to the other and work for neither. We used the room for an hour max in total to get ready and then collect our things when we could finally get in at 9.30am as our things were locked inside. They said we used the room. The messages disappeared in the booking.com inbox when trying to resolve the issue with the owner. We were told the owner was in Spain. The is a clear lack of responsibility or care to the customers. We are reasonable people this treatment is not.
  : The bathroom had a ripped floor and needed regrouting. It was not very clean when we arrived. It advertised 24hr but our key did not work in the lock which can easily be locked on the inside. So we did not get into our room to sleep. This has never happened to me before in any Accomodation around the globe that I have travelled to and I have certainly never been argued with by staff in such an inconsiderate way.

  : Southwell is delightful with an amazing Minster only steps from the Crown. Checkin was fast easy and friendly! Getting in and out of the hotel quietly was also very easy. Staff were very friendly!

  : Noisy after 7am but nothing can be done as beside road and didnt bother me to much. It would be nice if shower gel/shampoo could be supplied but again didnt annioy me just a suggestion

  : The location and historic character. That constrains it though, eg you can't put a lift in.I appreciated the walk on shower. It was this feature that persuaded me to book here, as other places had baths.
  : The traffic noise as it is on a corner. There was a fan in the room but you had to keep the window shut to cut out the noise. It was a very hot week, the week I was there
