  : It looked quirky from a distance and the proprietor was friendly and communicated well with me.
  : Sadly the beds were uncomfortable and soft, the pub opposite was very noisy late at night. There was no bread given in the morning as promised. The place had poor ventilation and was extremely dark, meaning we spent as little time in there as possible. There was an open bin at the bottom of the outside stairs that was overflowing and someone had left a pair of boots and an empty bottle on the floor there. There were dead pheasants hanging at the entrance to the stairs up to the property which is okay but it frightened my niece terribly, meaning she couldn't sleep. It was a lot of money in view of all these points described above, we will not stay again. The location was however excellent.

  : This property certainly lived up to its name and was just as shown in the photographs. Brilliant quirky property in the center of Southwell. Great to have all you need for breakfast, cereals, bread, milk, butter etc. All home comforts.
  : Nothing to complain about but some people might find the strong smell from room diffusers a problem if they have hay fever or suffer from migraines.

  : A perfect spot in heart of Southwell . It is a really interesting old building . The owners have really thought about how they have decorated and is colourful and comfortable . Nice touches like a drawer full of breakfast cereals and generous provision of teas and coffee and milk .
  : The only minor improvement would be an adjustment / easing of the doors which stuck at times in the bathroom and some of the bedrooms.
