  : Very expensive for what is a package holiday hotel.. For this sort of money you expect alot better food and upgraded facilities.. we could have stayed in the Hilton just up from there for less.. not worth it..

  : This hotel is located at the end of the main pedestrian thoroughfare so its near all the shopping, restaurants etc, but not right on top of the noise. The lobby looks mostly renovated and the hallways and our room looked freshly painted. It definitely has a somewhat outdated decor, but I thought our room had a sweet vintage feel with its green wicker furniture and colorful tile floor. Our room definitely had everything we needed, decent-sized bathroom and a terrace with good lounging chairs (although the view was the back of other hotels). Some reviews said the showers were tiny but our shower I would guess was 2 1/2 feet by 4 1/2 feet, so we had no complaints. We stayed 8 nights so we needed a good price and Hotel Villa Maria was perfect for us.
  : It was roughly .8 mile to walk to the main town square which is the spot where you get picked up for bus tours etc. I actually dont think of this as a negative bc we really enjoyed walking, but if your rolling luggage from the train station you have a somewhat long-ish way to go. Just get a cab the day you arrive and the day you depart to help with luggage.
