  : Availability. Hardly any noise from the bar reaches the bedrooms. Good and clean bathroom/shower. In room drinks facility was great- big selection and quantity. Bed not bad and tv worked well. Staff freindly
  : Wardrobe prevented door fully opening. Sink parts old with chrome flaking off Road noise. No meals served - room only (to booking.com bookings), curious arrangements with hotel across the road to get them at own extra cost - dinner there at the Curious Fox not cheap but was excellent, car parking similar arrangent. Stairs to bedrooms steep and old narrow treads, no lift. Although the bedroom was fine much of the hotel decoration was dated ( old building no excuse!) and dirt on ledges such as windows gives rise to general concern about hygiene. Old sash windows not easy to open/close and could be problematic for some customers. Steps to front door -just a few but steep and had some algae and were slippery. No staff in the morning. No lounge area or obvious reception. So no obvious way to deal with problems such as emergencies. Info on some of the facilities lacking were probably available on the web site but unexpected in this day an age -for this emergency overnight stay hardly passable. Stayed in much better similar old hotels. For the price If has the choice would stay elsewhere. Overheard another customer complain about a repeated problem but that is not first hand knowledge. Overall not suitable for stays for disabled or infirm/elderly customers and although warm inside not great for wintry or wet weather!
