  : I was held hostage. I'm from Michigan and I paid cash and was checking out, I was told I could not check out until the head housekeeper checked my room and that wouldn't be until between 9:30-10am. I was never informed this as I was ready to leave and I needed my deposit money for gas. Then the guy kept asking me for my home address to write down and give to his boss....uh no! It is highly illegal to keep someone under false pretenses. It was not marked anywhere nor on the paperwork I signed stating I had to wait to leave. I had an emergency I was trying to get home to and it wasn't that important. I was told they could "possibly" mail me my money....I was like that doesn't even sound legit....so if you plan on staying.... expect to be held hostage if you use cash before you can leave.... without any written or verbal warning of their procedures.
