  : The room was clean.
  : Didn’t have a good view. Had to park a good distance from the room. Breakfast in the restaurant was cold and stale and way overpriced. Had to drive to downtown Helen to get a decent breakfast. The Bar & Grill food looked to be good.

  : No elevator. Had to pull luggage up and down stairs. Got charged $50 for "incidentals" in case we used room service. Rude lady in the office argued with me and said it was only an "authorization". In my opinion if money is removed from my bank account it is a CHARGE! She told me it would be returned in 10 to 12 business days! Thankfully it was back the same day but it made me mad at the time! A lousy practice and I should have been told up front they were going to do that!

  : Perfect location! Super close to all of the activities we wanted to do like visiting Anna Ruby Falls and tubing with Cool River tubing! This was a family trip with our two little ones, ages 7 and 9, so we didn’t get to take advantage of the zip lining offered at the lodge this time since my youngest wasn’t quite big enough and my oldest isn’t that adventurous. Next time when my little one is older, we would love to give it a try! Looked super fun!! The state park had playgrounds and creeks that my kids loved. We rented a pedal boat for an hour and spent time on the lake, which was beautiful! We also spent time cooling down in the visitor center where we played games in their game room and grabbed some snacks. The lodge bedroom was nice and clean with a nice sized bathroom for our family of 4. As guests, we received free water bottles every morning, which was nice. We definitely used them with all of the outdoor activities we participated in. On our last night, we rented firewood and used the fire pit outside to make s’mores.
  : The only complaint would be that some of the front desk staff members were not that friendly. One in particular seemed annoyed whenever we would come in with a question. A smile goes a long way. Also, it would have been helpful if the lodge restaurant offered dinner. They only serve breakfast/lunch. At the end of the day being able to have dinner at the lodge would have been so great instead of having to find something downtown that we weren’t familiar with.

  : We really liked the mountain view outside our room window, and the bed was sooo comfortable. The bathroom was really nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
  : The buffet needs more options.

  : Ambience is wonderful and the view was spectacular
  : The room was dirty, the windows had dead bugs all on the window sill. The curtains were ripped and did not block any sun out. I have a 18 month old and she was having allergies from the dust and it smelled like someone had smoked in the room or maybe an adjacent room causing us to cough all night. There’s no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor with a stroller and a toddler.
