: The best part about the apartment was its location. It's located right on Nevsky prospect very close to a subway station, a Hop on Hop off bus and all the major sightseeing opportunities. The apartment itself is quiet, clean and spacious. The windows face away from Nevsky prospect, so you don't need to worry about the noise.
: Daily we had issues with Wi-Fi going out for hours, which was a hassle as I was unable to work on several occasions. When I let the host know that we had problems with Wi-Fi, his response was that he did not see any problems on their end. Later he would finally say that he would restart the router. The problem was that I didn't have an International plan for my phone, so I had to rely on Wi-Fi to be able to send messages. When wi-fi at the apartment was down, I could not even communicate that our wi-fi was down. We had to go to a local cafe or a restaurant to access Wi-Fi. It's not the end of the world, but it was definitely an inconvenience.The hot water control in the shower was pretty terrible, which is a common problem in Russia. However, I've stayed in other apartments and had a way better experience than this one. In addition to that, the shower tub had no privacy curtain, so when you took a shower, you had to be careful not to get water on the floor, which is annoying because when I take a shower, I would like to relax after a long day of walking around and not worry about the hot water going out on me in the middle of the shower and getting it spilled all over the bathroom.Our return flight was at 6 am, so we could not do the check out that morning. My host said he would PayPal the deposit money back to me and I agreed. It took almost a month after we left and me reaching out to the host on multiple occasions without getting a reply back, I finally received my deposit money back. Overall I am disappointed with the quality of services, which is unfortunate because I would have loved to stay there again, but I will be looking at different apartments for my next stay.
