  : The staff were friendly and chatty. The food was really nice. It was fairly clean. There was a few cobwebs in our room which our daughter didn't like. The outside had little booths which were nice. We chose this hotel as it was near the eden project. It was a good location for this and looked like it was served by a station that runs to Newquay. There was quite a lot to do in the area.
  : The hotel felt very dated. Our carpet was fraying and there was a few marks on the shower curtain. The toilet seat constantly fell on your back. The beds weren't especially comfortable neither were the pillows. These things are obviously personal choice though. The dining area in the conservatory had slip covers to cover the rips in the chairs underneath.

  : Breakfast was very good. Rooms are massive.Bed great.TV good.Location is quiet.Nice bath.Outside covid pods very good.
  : The communal areas are pretty grubby. The reception area needs a good clean and smells of wet dog. Needs a scrub.The carpet in the dining room was filthy. Car park needs tidying up. Old garden tools and rubbish on display. The wifi code was not accessible unless you asked.Bathrooms in bedrooms needed a deep clean. Lots of grot in the corners. Fire doors etc needed painting. Needs a proper upgrade and decent handyman!

  : Location very nice, staff are lovely and very helpful. The food was nice and reasonably priced, and the room was very spacious with everything you needed.

Disappointing

  : Good breakfast, easy to park in front of the hotel. Par beach is located 17min by foot.
  : Undoubtedly the most impolite and rude welcome my family and I ever had in any hotel: yes we did arrive at 23:15 due to infinite traffic jams, however I did write a message to warn the hotel and never got any response. It is unacceptable and shameful to be so rude in front of a tired couple with a 10 month old baby (and it wasnt the middle of the night!). If staff cannot cope with un-wanted late arrival, then hospitality business is not for them. I also never got any response to previous messages sent a week before, and no answer at all to multiple phone calls: any hotel must be able to communicate with clients, which is obviously not the case here. Room and bathroom are really old, no sink mixer tap, shower pressure is low, TV from the 90s, window could not be fully closed. Overall far from the 4 star hotel standards in the UK.

  : Location was perfect for me. Breakfast was excellent, over 4 mornings it never faltered. Staff are excellent, accommodating and very welcoming. 3rd time staying here and we will be back
