  : Dont let the entrance and foyer fool you. The view is spectacular and the location is great as its not too far from Manzanita to the North and Tillamook to the South. The view of the ocean from the huge front room windows is stunning when you walk in.The decor of the house is beachy with shiplap and wacky marine themed knickknacks all over the walls. Think white and turquoise, with fish, crabs, mermaids, sea captain, and beach-themed signs. The one out-of-place decor is a poster from a 1981 Carmel, California wine tasting festival, which appeared to be a nudist event. Its likely a collection of things that people have either left purposely or have forgotten, but the kitchen is very well equipped with a lot of things you need. We remembered mostly all of our essentials: Chemex, coffee beans, filters, electric hot water kettle, Brita filter, booze bottles, homemade grenadine, lemon, limes, juicer, but when we got there we realized we had forgotten our cocktail shaker. But it turned out not to be an issue, as the place had two shakers for us to use!The three bedrooms are small and lacking closets, but the whole place has ample hooks made up for it. The bed was OK on our old backs, and the living room is comfortable enough with one loveseat and couple of chairs. The bathroom looks like it might have been more recently updated, with a lot of counter space. The shower is small but it had really great water pressure. As it is November, we didnt really get to enjoy the deck, but I can see how it would be a fantastic place to hang out on a summers eve. The beach itself was not very busy (again, probably due to the time of year), so we enjoyed peaceful mornings sipping on coffee, enjoying the view, with dogs and kids walking in the distance.
  : The vinyl floors in the main rooms were coming apart in some areas, although the bathroom and bedrooms all had newer flooring. Although well equipped, the one major thing it did not have was a hairdryer!
