The Harbour House Sea front Hotel

  : Location and ease of parking/access. Nice bar area. Breakfast was good and staff were excellent. Had supper at close by pub as i knew it well.
  : Unfortunately my bed (double in room 4) had a v hard mattress full of lumps resulting in poor sleep. Bathroom door scraped on floor when opening which woke people up. Easy fixes otherwise a great hotel.

  : Our double bed was 2 single mattresses on a double base. Which were very uncomfortable. Also we went with another couple who booked at the same time as us they got an apartment and we got a room for exactly the same price.

  : Fantastic location, friendly staff, good food and overall package of accommodation and food was great value.
  : Head height on staircase leading to our attic room and head height within the room. My husband is 6ft 3in and he struggled to stand up in the room and even I at 5ft 7in struggled with the stair head height and comb ceilings. We had a great stay, great food and value for money for the package we paid, but would have been nice to have been warned about these physical challenges. We would return but make sure that we had a different room next time.

  : Just OK, staff friendly but inexperienced, portion size was good. Food served warm. Large pot of tea, not rushed.
  : Served breakfast in bar area as we had the dog, did not like that there were workmen painting the walls in the bar whilst we were eating! Food was OK, but could have been warmer, toast cold, mushrooms tasted/looked boiled? Had to ask for an extra teabag as tea very weak. Room very tired, curtains hanging off rails, extractor fan in bathroom not working, sashs window would not open at the bottom, had to climb up on a chair and open the top part of the window. Main door to hotel not locked at night, came in one night to find a man sitting on stairs, no idea if he was a quest or not, found out that hotel is not staffed at night. General rooms very tired, holes in carpet, uneven flooring in the bar. Fire alarm went off during breakfast, staff left building didn't inform guests what was going on. Toilet downstairs closed off for medical incident alternative was staff toilet in kitchen area very poor.

  : The location was great, staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble even though they were very busy at times, enjoyed the breakfast and room was lovely
  : Although the beds were a good size mine was a little uncomfortable, as I hadn't raised this as an issue until departure (thought it was my arthritis) I cant complain, I have brought it to the attention of the staff who were very apologetic and dealt with the issue in a professional manner and will raise with manager. As with many a seaside hotel some aspects of the hotel were looking tired but it seems they are in the process of sprucing up the hotel for the season, and for the price we paid this was not an issue.
