  : the breakfast is terrible. Literally zero vegetables, bad coffee and juices. Only sygary things to eat. It would be better not to propose breakfast and I believe the hotel woul be rated higher than it is at the moment.

  : The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly. The beach bar is very convenient and the little pool is a bonus. On the last day once we checked out we were allowed to stay at the pool, that was so nice because otherwise we were just had to wait somewhere else for the 8oclock ferry

  : Location - very central for virtually everything. WiFi, generally fast and efficient, throughout the hotel, including the bedrooms. Advertised on Booking.com as only in the hotel lobby. The hotel should consider altering this detail on its page with Booking.com. Plenty of hot water. This might seem something to be automatically expected, but it is amazing how many hotels cannot provide a constant supply of hot water. Breakfast was adequate. Reasonable selection of cold food. The only hot food was toast, but the toasting machine took forever. Nobody appreciated my joke that it would have been quicker to go and hunt down a dragon and get it to breathe fire on my slice of bread. Most staff tried to resolve problems (if somewhat unsuccessfully), were helpful and generally polite.
  : Shower - no soap in dispenser, no shelf for personal items. The drain cover in the shower was broken, so it would not stay in place. Two maintenance men came to the room and considered the problem for quite a while, but no replacement ever arrived and nothing was done about it. Hole in bath towel. Next day, new towels, but I discovered an even bigger hole in the hand towel. I appreciate that this is a hotel of basic standard, but (sorry) whatever the level of hotel, holes in towels is simply unacceptable. Housekeeping, or the person in charge of it, should check on such things. Dozens of small flies in bathroom, despite a grill on the outside of the window. Tried shutting the window one night, as instructed, but just as many flies the following morning. After that we generally kept the window closed for much of the time, which did seem to lessen the problem, but it was never satisfactorily or completely resolved. At breakfast I asked for a teaspoon and was given a paper sachet containing a thin stick of wood. Most other (proper) cutlery was in reasonable supply, so why not teaspoons? Too much washing-up? One day (when perhaps more guests than usual arrived) we waited until mid-afternoon for the room to be made up. Then, when we finally complained, we were rudely accused of leaving the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, which was untrue. On the two occasions we went to walk round the town, while waiting for the room to be cleaned, we left the 'Please Make Up The Room' sign on the door both times. On average, it took until 15:00 hours each day before the room was cleaned and made up.
