  : Breakfast was fairly basic but very adequate. room had a kettle and a fridge, who needs more, pool and bar superb. 10 yards to taverna, 100 yards to restaurants 200 yards to shops beach and shops

  : Great location, very close to great beaches and a plethora of restaurants. We stayed in a large family room which was cleaned daily and the staff were very warm and helpful. The hotel is basic and we were okay with this, it could use a bit of updating but everything worked even if some appliances are old. We arrived in the middle of the heat wave and the air con worked with no issues. There were always sunbeds available and the pool was clean, our kids enjoyed the pool on a daily basis with no issues. The cleaning ladies, Cristina and Inna are wonderful and our lovely receptionist made our stay very comfortable and arranged for anything we needed. The staff deserve a massive round of applause, they are very nice and hospitable.

  : The conditions of the bathroom were unpleasant (for example the curtain was old with holds), old TV, the air-conditioning was not working properly all the time.

  : Pool was lovely and clean, lovely big room with mezzanine level and air con. Lots of storage for clothes. Large balcony, overlooking the pool. Close to the beach, restaurants and pretty quiet. Lovely staff and very chilled.
  : I would only change a few things to make our stay more comfortable. Although the apartment was large and clean, it was really basic. Some shade on the balcony would be nice, a parasol would be great otherwise its impossible to sit out in the heat. Also the balcony isnt private with the neighbouring rooms, we used it to hang our washing out to dry only which is a shame as its so large with a beautiful view.The kitchen was a fridge and a kettle. Some more glasses and cups, cutlery, plates for the number of people in the room would be enough.The bathroom was a bit tired and we struggled to close the shower door, it definitely needs replaced.A large mirror downstairs would be handy, one mirror for 4 girls was a bit of a competition!

  : The hotel was very clean and the staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The pool and pool bar was great and the location was perfect for the beach and for the town. The room had 2 air cons which you did not have to pay extra for. The breakfast was simple but nice and it was a bonus for me. Check out time was great. I came for one night to see Skala whilst I was in Katelios. It was perfect for that.
  : The only thing was the bed, it had a wire matress and wood arr round it for the bed frame, Being 6ft, my legs over hanged and that was not comfy.

  : Location. Spacious room. Staff refreshed linen and towels frequently. Balcony spacious. Pool clean and there was a staffed poolside bar 1.30 to 5pm. But poolside shower and toilets dirty and not well maintained.
  : Hotel generally dated and old fashioned . Shower was old fashioned too, hand held shower head and cubicle doors faulty. Breakfast was just about adequate but no fresh fruit or eggs in the choice. Reception staff helpful and polite but not present 24 / 7 on site.

  : The pool was clean. The region was very quiet.
  : Technical issuesThere are a lot of things in the room that are to be fixed:- the holder of the key. Everytime I took it, the plastic holder fell because it was broken.- the closet doors. Hard to open, especially when the lowest slide box was closed.- the shower sliding doors. They were suppposed to slide, but they didn't.- wet floor in the bathroom. After every bath procedure, there was impossible yo walk. There's something wrong with the system of water absorbtion.Room service issues:- Dirty floor in the room. The room service worker had to clean the floor everyday. Well, he or she cleaned up only the floor from the bath, changed the trash bin and the towels (once in 2 days).- Not enough higiene products. We were provided with toilet paper (a lot) and a hand-soap that was about to be finished in 2 days (very little quantity). No shampoo.Finally, I want to say that I had stopped before in Skala into another 3-star hotel, but the conditions were much better. Either that hotel deserves 4 stars and Big Village 3, or if that hotel is rated with 3 stars, unfortunately the Big Village must have 2 stars only. Hope this honest review will encourage the administration to improve their accomodation conditions.
