  : Beautiful location with direct access to the Dene for walks.
  : We arrived early knowing wed not be able to check in until 3pm but we were told our room would probably be ready before that,so instead of going elsewhere we sat and had drinks in the bar. We checked again with reception at 2:30 and the room wasnt ready, but then checked again and 3 to be told it was still not ready (3pm is the check in time). We eventually got into the room at 3:30. There seemed to be an issue with being short staffed with housekeeping and a large wedding made things quite busy - staff appeared stressed, nobody seemed to know what was going on and nobody updated us. We were given vouchers off 2 of our drinks which felt like a fair resolution, however, if wed known our room would be late, we would have walked into Jesmond for a couple of hours instead of hanging around. We had onward plans which this impacted a little so would have preferred to have known what was going on. The rooms arent cheap and whilst a gorgeous place, the organisation needed a bit of work on this occasion.
