  : Overall the food in the evening was good, our bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and good size. Plenty of toiletries and tea/coffee in our room. Couldn't hear the church bells loud from our room. Parking no problem.
  : Unfortunately there was a small leak from the bath, toilet seat was loose and above the bath a piece of paper from the ceiling was hanging. The whole hotel is looking very tired in desperate need of decoration and maintenance. The garden at the back had pallets and empty beer barrels laying about just generally needs a tidy up. The restaurant is more of a cafe with a redundant bar in the corner, echoes with no atmosphere, could do with table cloths a bit more effort in my opinion. Which is a shame because the food was nice. Breakfast was hit and miss! first day juice available, next not, the table with cereal and toaster was just that, bread in the bags, cereal in jars that obviously aren't replenished regularly. We were offered cooked breakfasts which were fine. Waitressing staff were all friendly but lacking a bit of training and competence. You had to ask rather than be offered. Bar staff friendly. There just didn't seem to be any organisation. We asked for extra pillows and noone seemed to know if there were any and the cupboard they were supposed to be kept in could not be unlocked. We like to kick back and relax after a day out and about and having a wooden headboard meant the extra pillows would have helped. Our first morning at breakfast we were approached to settle our food and bar bill from the previous night. But when we went to settle it they didn't seem to know exactly what we had, this was resolved and paid for. Any hotels we have stayed in previously we have usually settled our bill at the end of our stay. We didn't have a problem paying as we went but it wasn't made clear. Finally we were told that we would have daily maid service, beds made etc unless we said otherwise - which we didn't, this didn't happen at all. I was so hoping I could leave a great review but have to be honest, I think you can only play on the four in a bed award for so long. I feel that in its current state we did not get value for money.
