  : Cleaning lady speaks english while receptionist is speaking only russian :)Frequency of cleaning the room is 3 days, which might be a problem if you are messy

  : Good things about the hotel: convenient-ish location (close to VDNH but not close enough to a subway station, still about a 10-min walk but on the asphalt and along a quiet and shaded area); very good and filling free breakfast; nice and helpful personnel; very thick walls so no need for AC even on hottest days; you can order cheap but filling lunch and dinner (do it in advance, because if you don't warn the front desk about dinner, the chef leaves for the day if no other orders). All towels are monogrammed, and so is the bedding. This used to be a fancy-shmancy Soviet era hotel that's still nice but not glorious anymore. And unfortunately, their restaurant, from being luxurious 20 years ago, has shrunk down to minimal service. Still, very good for the price. Yes, I said 20 years because we've stayed here on and off for that long.Not so nice things: the elevator stops are BETWEEN floors. So if you have heavy suitcases, you'll have to drag them up or down one flight of stairs (I got help from the security guy though). The garbage truck wakes up you up at 4 or 5am - but this is typical for those Moscow neighborhoods. And there's no way to weigh your suitcases for the airport (many hotels have this service nowadays but this one doesn't). But these are the only 3 not-so-nice small things I could think about.
