  : Apartment well located, spacious and clean, very comfortable beds. Comfortable bathroom. Everything is very well and tastefully decorated. I recommend to everyone! I suggest organizing a dinner on your own on the terrace. An unforgettable view of the city in the evening. Natural coolness, no air conditioning needed.

  : Our room# 4 had no view to the Sassi:-( We got the impression (from the photos on the website) that there was a common sitting area overlooking the caves. There wasn't!The bedroom was an elevated platform, you had to climb stairs in order to reach - something that older people must take into account. Mind you, the bathroom is downstairs!One last thing, I felt that a small carton of milk in the fridge or even a UHT milk, is basic in a location where a supermarket isn't something you find round the corner.

  : Matera is a beautiful, small, comfortable city to visit. It was a favorite of our entire trip. This property is well located and our rooms had a gorgeous view of the Sassi. The bed was comfortable. The rooms large. The stone ceilings amazing. We really loved this property.
  : No one in the property management speaks English and our Italian was just as bad so the communication was tough. The rooms of this facility are spread out so they wanted to know our arrival time. We drove from Naples and there was a lot of road work making us 45 min later than we planned. The checkin person was very impatient and not helpful with letting us know the closest parking structure to the rooms. Two couples in their 60s dont like to drag bags all over a city up and down cobblestone streets looking for their hotel. We texted several times asking information and were just sent the names of 3 structures. After an impatient phone call from the checkin woman we managed to meet in a square where she basically showed us the rooms, tossed us the keys and left. The facilities themselves are amazing. If you can communicate better than we can in Italian or the owners figure out how to make this checkin procedure a little more user friendly I would totally recommend this place. The checkout money collector at least tried with google translate. But our checkin experience was terrible.
