  : We could not stay at the property because we were not allowed to stay with more than one dog, and we had four, even though we specilied that information in the request when we made the booking. So the rating is not the the facilities of the property, but for the quality of service provided by Booking and Sykes Cottages. Unfortunately, at the time of booking (almost a month before the start date) we did not notice that rule, but on the next day, after careful checking the conditions we noticed only one dog was welcome. We immediately contacted Sykes Cottages and explained the situation, but they did not respond. It took us several days to find out we would not be allowed to stay. Since it was a non-refundable booking, they charged us full price and refused to cancel it free of charge or with a fee smaller than the full price. Numerous emails and calls to the Booking and Sykes Cottages service line did not help. So please think twice and read the conditions carefully before you reserve. Nobody will care if you make a mistake.
