  : Apparently drugged homeless people around the motel, approaching guests. Strange man passing by and staring at guests cars and luggage. Rude receptionist. Strong smell on the room. After a 6 hour drive, we arrived at the motel at 11 and there was a sign saying that we should ring the bell on the other side of the office. When I went to the other side, there was a woman on the sidewalk near the bell. I thought she might work there, but when she started talking nonsense I realized she was a homeless person (apparently drugged) trying to get a room for a man who was on the gas station nearby. I couldn't know what that person was thinking or planning to do, so I got back to my car, drive away and called the motel. A woman answered the phone, sounding like she had been awakedned by my call. I told her I had a reservation and tried to ring the bell of the office but there were some homeless people exactly in front of the bell, that I left and was around the corner going back to the motel. Then I asked if she could go to the office, once I was arriving and couldn't ring the bell with homeless people approaching me. She was very rude, said repeatedly that she lives in the property and that I should go back and RING THE BELL, only then she would help me with the check in. I went back to the office door, rang the bell, waited, walked to the other side to be near my car, once I didn't know if there were another homeless person near the office door. A woman opened the door looked at me with a angry face and rudely pointed in the direction of a window near her. She told me that I should had rang the bell before, then I explained that there were homeless people around the bell. She was rude again, saying that the homeless people were trying to get a room, but she denied, meaning that there was no need for me to worry about them. If she was approached by drugged homeless people in a neighborhood and city she doesn't know, she would be worried.

  : Convenient at-room parking, large comfortable room with full kitchen, close to many amenities, friendly staff, happy little birdies nesting above each entryway.
  : The serenade of trucks and traffic on US 26 just outside the room did get loud at times even with the room closed up, but wasn't too disruptive. One entrance to the parking lot is up a very steep hill which could be an issue with larger vehicles.

  : This is a very old Motel. Really needs to be updated. But perfect for the price.

  : Staff were extremely friendly. Whilst the room was basic it was all you would expect from a motel, it was exceptionally clean and comfortable.
  : We are used to sleeping with a window open for fresh air and sleeping under duvets or thick blankets. Additional blankets would be appreciated.
