  : The breakfast is amazing, fresh, local, homemade and very tasty. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. It seems that is one family which we really enjoyed. Kids are welcome and well treated. The garden is a very peaceful and great space to escape, relax and chill. There are several hike trails wich start close to the hotel which is great. No need to move the car as the Restaurant, which is at the hotel serves great food as well for the evening dinners!

  : The setting,gardens and the house are beautiful. Nice breakfast. Attentive staff. Really appreciated the original features throughout the hotel.
  : It would be useful to have mosquito-netting on the windows as we ended up having lots of bites. Also the bed is slightly short for a tall guy. In times of corona, we would have appreciated if people were made to desinfect their hands before the buffet breakfast (asmany didnt seem to do so with the voluntary option).

  : The garden is absolutely stunning! It is such a beautiful place - the vibe of the little town, the views, the old building. Amazing.
  : The service. Especially one staff member (short hair, heavy eastern German dialect) was very rude to us on multiple occasions. Not sure why, maybe its just that person way, but this has nothing to do with hospitality. The audience. Not sure why this hotel lets large family groups with multiple small children book, but the tranquility of the hotel and surroundings was completely destroyed and it felt more like a visit to an amusement park. Its just not the right setting for that (we werent the only people annoyed) and the prices are much too high for this type ofExperience. If you want to make it family friendly, at least establish ground rules with the guests, so that the other paying customers can still enjoy their stay.The restaurant. The staff here is much better than in the hotel itself, but the prices are outrageous for the quality of food provided. The beef tartar had a very unusual color and consistency (and taste), which was almost rude to serve. The sauce served with fish was a thick, overly-creamy paste which wouldve been a better fit for a home improvement store rather than a restaurant - this dish alone was 42 CHF, were talking Zurich prices in a small town that most people havent heard of.
