  : There was no heating or hot water on the coldest day of the season in London at -2 degrees Celsius. No one was able to help us. We had to ask multiple times to get our room cleaned. There were cracks and stains on wall. Essentially, no service once you check-in and get your key. You are on your own with the elements.

  : Location right at the heart of Portabello, and friendliness of some staff. Bar downstairs looked nice and was busy, but we didn't stay to try it!
  : Booked cosy room (room 3). Room was dirty, and you were immediately hit with the smell of drains! Double bed must be the smallest double bed available, with stains on the sheet. Paint work was like a patchwork quilt with dirty hand prints to the white paint. Wooden floor felt sticky to the extent we didn't want to take our shoes off. The bathroom floor may well have been clean but didn't look it, as others have mentioned the bathroom sink must have been bought from the same shop as the 'double' bed and it was safe to say this is where the drainage smell was coming from. We decided this wasn't worth the 154 per night which unfortunately I paid on arrival. Eventually spoke to the hotel manager explaining the above and requested a refund which he willingly gave. Unfortunately after 5 days the refund hadn't arrived. Turned out the refund had failed, but it took me to contact them to find that out! Money is now back in my account.

  : Quirky room, very clean and comfy bed. Area was very nice and plenty of restaurants nearby.
  : Drinks in fridge were complimentary however milk was off. Rang reception twice, no answer. Even rang main number for hotel on my phone, no answer. Had to go downstairs to main bar to get someone. In the morning when we left there was an awful stench and at the bottom of entrance there were cigarette butts in the floor where people had been smoking inside. Personally think the hall and staircase needs some air freshness.

  : They cancelled last minute and didn't remove the booking.We had an experience booked at the venue so they could have at least acknowledged the inconvenience with a little drink or something. Especially as it was for a 40th birthday celebration.
