  : Great location, good beer, good food, friendly staff.
  : Room was very over priced for what it was (maybe its better when youre not above the pub itself). Very old, stained furniture and unfortunately very dirty. I went behind the desk to plug a laptop in and it was filthy. Black dust all over the skirting, it clearly hadnt been touched in a long time. Also, incredibly loud, bad mouthed guests in the other room, that kept everyone up all night (not the hotels fault, but nobody to tell them to keep it down). The same guests were also the same at breakfast, being allowed to carry on making foul mouthed conversation while (mostly older), respectable guests were sitting around them.

  : The staff were so lovely, my son and I felt welcome the second we set foot inside. The atmosphere was very calm and inviting. The twin room was a good size, comfortable beds and the shower pressure was really good. The food was amazing too!
  : There were cobwebs around the windows in the bedroom.The food was a little expensive.

  : Staff were friendly and informative. My room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and i had a reasonable sleep. The breakfast was lovely. Like the toiletries n the iron and ironing board had been left out in corridoor. Id text asking earlier about this and hairdryers. The hosts made an effort n obviously work hard. There are some rooms that have a bath and shower my friends didn't so maybe ask if you have a preference. Abulity to come in at night without disturbing others or walk through the pub.
  : The door to the accomodation at the top of the stairs is a menace. I always think a few more milk purdels for 2 cups of tea. One of the rooms had a feature wall which we thought wasn't as nice as the plain white due to the old walls. Because of the old building remember how uneven flooring can be when walking around if you are unsteady on you feet.
