  : I was ill for the first few days and so spent much of the time in bedWhen I improved - I treated my room as a "home" The reception staff were very helpful - especially on the last 2 days - I had wished to give her a gift - but am now in UK (blush - I forgot her name). Please give her my regards Mary Robertson
  : I wish I had known that there was no daily cleaning/housekeeping and also I was out of season - so many facilities were shut/closed. That was NOT the fault of the Inn - but coming from UK - I was surprised. I loved my time in Hyannis and made the Inn my "home" MMR

  : We were surprised the office closed at 8. They did let us know beforehand and we told them we'd be there right at 8 or a little after. The clerk waited and was very nice. We wanted to leave before 9 in the morning, but the office wasn't open. We had a few questions. Another employee saw me trying to put my suitcase in my car and helped and let me in the office/pool area for ice for my cooler.

  : The woman who was in charge of the property at the time was wonderful.
  : For starters, the hotel wasn't even officially "open" despite the sign outside saying "Open Year Round" and despite the fact that I booked this hotel through booking.com and it was confirmed back in December. When we first arrived, the office was closed and a sign was hung up stating the Front Desk and pool were unavailable until April 1 but they were still taking reservations for the upcoming year. As I was heading back to my car, a woman came out of one of the units to help me. She was very nice and said that she didn't understand why they were getting bookings because they weren't open. She knew we were coming but my question in hindsight is why I never received any type of communication that this hotel was not in fact "Open Year Round". I would have gladly been able to cancel and go elsewhere. First I noticed the pool was empty. One reason I opted for the Hyannis Inn was the pool. The first room we went into had no electricity. We noticed after moving all our luggage into that room. The manager apologized and put is in another room . We noticed both the refrigerator and TV were unplugged. We plugged them in and found that the refrigerator had a very foul odor and was dirty. We could not locate the TV remote so I had to call the manager back as the office was locked up again. She brought us a remote but it didn't work so she moved us yet again to another room. She was very apologetic and made sure everything worked in this room. We had to move our belongings again. The room seemed clean enough but the heat was blasting at 85 degrees. Throughout the night we learned that the only way to control the temperature was to turn the heat off completely. Coffee cream cups were sitting out by the coffee maker and I realize do not need refrigeration but they had literally burst open from the heat and who knows how long they had been sitting out.
