  : Comfortable bed, room an okay size for one night and one person. Bathroom small but clean. Pleasant staff. Excellent location for me as was less than 5 minutes from Harewood Downs golf club, where I was giving a talk.
  : The room I had, the oriental room, had a lot of heat coming up through the carpeted floor. So much that despite it was March I had to have the window wide open. There were shutters on the windows. These had to be open to let the air in. Outside the window there was a security light on all night (I was overlooking the courtyard of the pub), and just the other side of the pub was the main road. As the window was open, the traffic was a distrubance until midnight. The TV was not explained to me and seemed to be internet based, so you could do netflix, iplayer, etc but not live TV and channel hop. Bit frustrating. Only one accessible socket for charging, next to bathroom door.

  : Room was quite small and the bed was a mental frame and every time you moved it was extremely noisy. And you could here everything

  : The breakfast was really good, with fantastic bacon in the full English. Overall it was comfortable, the shower was nice and powerful and the mini fridge, hair drier and TV all worked fine. Although we didn't have dinner here on this occasion we have done in the past and the food was excellent.
  : Our room was quite small, so that you could only access one side of the double bed, which made getting up in the night a bit awkward. The decor was a little tired and there were some noticeable cobwebs, there were also scuffling noises above our head in the night....not sure if they were birds or mice!

  : We would echo the review from last September, which listed the many things wrong with our room (and our overall stay) at the Ivy House. It makes it even more frustrating that these issues have clearly been ignored by management for a while.We arrived and were greeted rather coldly, so we immediately got the impression that our staying was an inconvenience to the staff; the inn clearly puts more effort into its pub and restaurant services. The room was extremely small (not easy to see from the photos, but the term cosy should have been a warning sign). There was very little light a lamp on the desk is really needed. The bed squeaked and there was a fluffy toy to greet us not really convinced that this is warranted and it certainly wasnt wanted!Overall, communication with guests seems to be lacking; we had, in advance, mentioned in the booking email (Under the Special Messages section) that we were staying as a celebration of my wifes birthday, but this was ignored, as was my email to confirm that we were staying.The tiny shower room could only be accessed by shimmying around the door whilst being pressed against the side of the bed. There was no useful storage at basin height and the water came out scaldingly hot. There was no sign to warn that ones skin could easily be taken off when using the hot tap.There was only one set of towels visible; when we asked about this, we were asked if wed looked in the cupboard which we had but only one sad towel was in there and that doesnt exactly make one feel invited into a room with ensuite facilities.There were no spoons, mugs and only one type of tea available on the desk; we asked and these missing items were brought quickly. We had been asked if we wanted fresh milk, which was welcome.The room was extremely hot, but in order to get fresh air, we had to open a very stuck window. This let in all the road noise (which cant be helped) but the wooden shutter then wouldnt shut as the window handle got

  : We stayed in the 'Oriental' room, which was slightly larger than the one we've been in on a previous occasion. There was plenty of room to walk around the bed and it had a mini fridge for the milk, a kettle and plenty of tea/coffee. We were also provided with chilled water. The decor was decent and there was a large cupboard/wardrobe. Despite the bathroom being small, the shower surpassed my exceptions, with good pressure and constant temperature. The breakfast was excellent too.
  : The room was extremely warm, and although we turned off the radiator and opened the windows, we couldn't get it cool enough. Opening the windows also meant road noise, so it was a choice between heat or traffic, and even with the windows closed during the night the road noise was quite audible. The fan in the bathroom was also very loud too, along with the very creaky bed-frame! I only discovered earplugs in the bedside drawer when we were checking out....they would have been useful!!

  : The location was good, was nice to have some water and milk for the room. The breakfast is always very good.
  : The bathroom needs a bit of an overhaul, mould all over the ceiling. The shower seems like its been changed recently but it wasnt great. The bed is quite uncomfortable and the room itself was very small.

  : Friendly staff with warm welcome, general comfort of the room (apart from temperature, see below), very good breakfast.
  : The room was a little too warm, is it above the kitchen? I was unable to open the window as it was stuck in its frame, I suspect it hadn't been opened in a long time.
