: Great location, walking distance from the city centre. Nice pool and bathing area - neighbours were very nice. Kitchen had cooking appliances. Overall, the room was well equipped.
: There was construction when we arrived so the balcony couldn't be used and the view was blocked.

: A great location, very central and just 10 minutes to any transport connection. Lovely view from balcony.
: A more comfortable chair on the balcony would be an improvement. Also a better description of how to get to the apartment once at the apartment, saying which stairs to use and how to get into the building.

: Varandas Do Funchal is conveniently placed for walking into the center of Funchal. The apartment is well-equipped with everything needed for a self-contained holiday. The views are superb over Funchal towards the harbour and the pool is an added bonus. Antonio who greeted us at the apartment was extremely welcoming and helpful. We found our stay to be fantastic value for money.

: We picked up the keys as instructed but on arrival at the property we discovered we had not been given the apartment number!! Not in the otherwise comprehensive email which even gave us the parking spot number and the WiFi network and code (which turned out to be incorrect!)Tried phoning the supplied numbers for support for over 30 mins but absolutely no response!Had to drive back to the key pick up office and spoke to the staff. Absolutely no apologies for their oversight and even implied it was our fault for not noticing the lack of apartment mime on their instructions! took another 10 mins to provide the apartment number.Property itself was very hot (no A/C) blinds incredibly dusty and mattress very stained, furniture and wallpaper shabby.

: The location is amazing. Walking distance to the marina, old town, cable car and shopping. We rented a car for $300 and left it parked in the garage. We didn't even need it. One note, there is a very steep hill necessary in reaching the apartment so if you're not in good physical shape that might be a deterrent. The balcony offers great visibility to the fireworks on new years.
