: The location is great! It is right at the beach and there are reserved lounge chairs and umbrellas. No need to reserve and pay extra for that! The apartment was pretty big and had everything that we needed, except a washing machine. From the balcony you have the perfect view of the beach and water. If you want to stay at a beach in Durres, this is the best spot. There is a board walk (newly build and still not a 100% finished) which we walked along and the beach gets more crowded and dirty the more you walk into the city. This apartment is right at the end of the board walk which makes it a bit quieter at night, I would say. As you walk along the beach, there are lots of restaurants, bars and shops. You can walk from this apartment into the city but its a long walk, about 1,5h or you take a taxi which is a 15min ride and about 1.200-1.500 Lek. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a simple meal or to make a snack. There is no microwave though and no oven mitts. Only a 5min walk away is a supermarket "Big Market" which has everything you need and they also accept VISA cards.
: There is only one A/C in the apartment, in the living room. Unfortunately no A/C in the bedroom, not even a fan. Make sure to bring Euros in cash! The host only accepts cash payments, which I wasnt aware of and I had to go through Western Union to get that cash. The entrance is a bit tricky. The front gate is mostly closed and if noone is right there to open it for you, then you have to walk all the way around the block and get in from the beach side.
