: There wasn't anything that we liked about this experience at Bahia Azul
: First off the check in process was difficult. The keys were located 13 miles away. When we finally found the keys we went back to the room and found an apartment. I was under the impression from the pictures online that this was a resort. We had access to the beautiful pool but it was not within the view of the apartment as we had expected. The apartment was completely empty. There were not any towels which it said there would be. We had a long day of travel and were unable to take a shower. When we go ready to go to bed - my wife pulled back the sheets and there were BEDBUGS in the bed. This of course horrified my wife and she wound up moving all of our clothes onto the kitchen counter and she slept on a kitchen chair and I slept on the couch. Very bad experience. We talked with the agent Nathalie (was her name) and she was able to find us another place to stay the next day. The other place (again was not a resort but another apartment. It was a beautiful apartment and we were comfortable and happy there. There was an issue with the keys and the many locks involved with getting into and out of the room and complex. It took 5-10 minutes to open the door to the apartment and then there were 2 locked gates. There was also a electronic gate opener on the key chain which did not work at all the entire week.

: It was close to the Med, rooms were large and spacious - especially for the price.
: Very musty, smoky, stinky smell when we arrived at the unit. Difficult to find. Other buildings nearby were more attractive and inviting.
